Supposedly Halloween is dating back to an old Celtic tradition and was mainly celebrated in Ireland. In the 19th century Irish emigrants brought Halloween to North America. This custom was absorbed fast from other immigrants and became a big American tradition. Now Halloween is coming back to Europe and you find more and more of the traditional decorations also here in Germany. When I was a child, we hollowed already the pumpkins and sugar beets and cut faces into the shells, but we never heard about Halloween. The sugar beets make super creepy grimaces! Also Halloween is not a German custom, we would like to give you the chance to purchase a Halloween pewter miniature made in Germany: A hollow pumpkin full of typical Halloween figures. Witch, ghost and skeleton are celebrating and having a lot of fun. Trick or treat! The Halloween pewter miniature is made to hang and is hand painted from one side. It is made by Wilhelm Schweizer.
