The advent-wreath has a very long tradition in Germany. We take a wreath, usually made out of pine-branches, and put 4 candles and christmas-decoration on the wreath.
Starting with the first Advent-Sunday (normally end of nov. beginning of dec.) we light every Sunday a candle until finally Christmas is here. Of course we need an Advent-wreath also in our doll-house.
This little green wreath has 4 little red candles which are decorated with a red bow. Inbetween the candles the wreath is decorated with cinnamon, apple-slices, red balls and gold glitter.
The Advent-wreathes are handmade, so each might be a little different.
